I started driving with a sequence of various minis, progressed to Ford Capri, then the ubiquitous company cars followed - best of British Leyland Marinas etc., until I went back to private ownership in my Astra and Megane phase before graduating to Skoda Octavias. I had a JBA kit car (bit like a Jag SS) as a toy for 8 years from 2000 followed by a dabble with a Mazda mx5 (maybe the best built car I have owned). My Jaguar purchase occurred in 2011 with a 5 yr old XK8 4.2-S which I still have and wouldn’t part with. We have travelled to IOM, all parts of UK, Eire, France and Spain since that time.
