Back to where it all began. The second event in our 5th Anniversary celebration. We will reprise the first ever meet and drive of the North Wales Region.
We will meet at the Beach Pavilion for 10am then drive over the Britannia Bridge to Tacla Taid for a coffee stop and museum visit.
Then onto a circular route of Ynys Mon taking in great roads and scenery to the amazing and bizarre Parys Mountain for a break and wander.
From there we will continue on the circular route to finish up in Beaumaris, on the green for a group picnic.

TOUR TO THE PICOS DE EUROPA  AND ASTURIAS/GALICIA COAST OF SPAIN.

I know September is already a busy month for XKCC members but it is a good time to visit this beautiful area. At the moment I will not give all details away but will happily forward all the route, the Paradors we would be staying in etc. I have arranged the Paradors booking through the main agents for the Paradors in the UK  easy for people to book and you will have to book your own Ferry. The route is fairly compact unlike a tour I did last year at 920miles over 10 days plus any add on miles people want to do.

We will depart Plymouth on Sunday 20th Sept and return on Thursday 1st Oct 26. Only 1 night on board both ways.

The Paradors are booked on a half board basis [2 sharing a room] so most meals are included. For those unaware Paradors are wonderful hotels often in historic buildings etc.

I have a price from 2689euros approx. £2400

per room . Check Scenic car tours to see this is a good price. To get this deal it needs be confirmed ASAP.  We only intend a max of 8 cars and we do already have 3 booked.

I have checked the price of the ferry and if booked on an early bird deal, car & 2 passengers could book for under £1000 even in an outside window cabin.  And please be aware the Parador deal is also time limited  and I would give details to any interested parties.

Scenic Yorkshire Dales drive followed by afternoon tea on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway near Skipton.

On Sunday 13th September the Yorkshire & Northeast region will host an event centred on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway near Skipton. We will take afternoon tea on the steam train that runs between the two stations.

The day will start by meeting at the Premier Inn, Gargrave, near Skipton at 10am for breakfast / coffee before taking a scenic drive through the Southern Yorkshire Dales via Malham, Grassington (for a short stop) and Burnsall to arrive at *Bolton Abbey station* (note the station!) in good time to take in the period atmosphere.

At 13.40 we will embark on the steam train where afternoon tea will be served on the outward journey. We will be travelling in the Great Northern Observation Saloon coach where I have 18 seats reserved-  effectively the whole coach.

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Jaguar Xk for the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club.

The idea started from a brief conversation with Jake and James from The JEC at a show in Gaydon last Summer.

It has taken some time to get the necessary approvals in place but we have just received the go ahead.

The plan is to have a breakfast meet on Sunday 4th October.

The time is yet to be confirmed but 8.30am - 12.30pm seems likely.

The JEC anticipate that we will have 150 - 200 Xk's which will be quite a spectacle lined up in the car park against the backdrop of Brooklands Museum. It would be amazing if we could get that many Xk’s together but the more the merrier.

We are fortunate not to be limited by car parking space!

SPM Motorworks (https://www.spmmotorworks.co.uk/ ) our local Jaguar & Classic Car Specialist are going to co-host this event with us.

Steve and Sean will be on hand to give technical advice for any issues you may have.

The Bla Bla cafe ( https://blablacafe.co.uk/locations/weybridge/ ) will be opening specially for us and will have a suitable breakfast menu available.

It has indoor and outdoor space, disabled access and toilets.

It is a big cafe designed by HUF Haus ( https://www.huf-haus.com/en-uk/europa/london/) who you might have seen on Grand Designs etc…

They have their UK showhouse at the far end of the car park.

Accommodation

We have reserved a number of rooms at 2 local hotels at a preferential rate for Saturday 3rd October .

Rooms are on a first come, first served basis and numbers are limited.
