This will be a special day as it is our 5th Anniversary as a Region. The Automobile Club of North Wales (ACNW) have invited us back to attend their excellent show in the superb grounds of the Faenol Estate with the spectacular backdrop of Eryri (Snowdonia).
This year will be slightly different, we will meet directly at the show to display our cars by model. There will be separate awards for best presented X100 and X150 models along with some special presentations (not all too serious!!!). We will have 2 event shelters to base our picnic in and there will be a food van for breakfast/coffee on arrival. I will send out entry forms to members nearer the time.
We really want this to be a "maximum effort" as the first of our 2 anniversary events in the Region.

The Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial is the UK's largest independent aviation museum housing one of the biggest collections of aircraft in the UK, as well as exhibitions and displays.

We shall meet for breakfast / coffee at 10.00am in the ‘NAAFI Café’, after which members will have a dedicated talk giving an ‘overview of RAF Elvington, past Present and Future’ and what makes the site unique.

There will then be a 1 hour guided tour for our group to discover the key areas of the museum site and learn of notable highlights in the rich history RAF Elvington.

The museum can give us a dedicated parking area for our XKs.

We will meet up at the Rhug Estate Farm Shop Cafe at 10am. We will then take a drive through some of Wales best roads to the splendid Powis Castle and Gardens for a 2 hour visit then off to the wonderful Lake Vyrnwy Spa Hotel set with stunning views of the lake for a lovely afternoon tea.
The castle is a National Trust property has a cafe and areas for a picnic
